1. Who We Are

CosmoHub is a free space exploration and astronomy education platform. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site and how we handle it.

2. Information We Collect

Account data: when you sign in, we receive your name and email address from the login provider. Usage data: we record pages visited and time spent to understand how the site is used. Content you create: comments, bookmarks, learning progress, and notification preferences are stored so the features work for you.

3. Cookies & Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies for session management, remembering your preferences, and analytics (such as Google Analytics). You can control non-essential cookies via the cookie consent banner and your browser settings.

4. Advertising

CosmoHub may display ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings.

5. Emails

If you subscribe to launch reminders, space weather alerts, or the weekly research digest, we use your email only to send those messages. You can unsubscribe at any time from your dashboard.

6. How We Protect Your Data

Your email address is never shown publicly to other users. Personal records such as bookmarks and notification preferences are only accessible to you and site administrators. We do not sell your personal data.

7. Third-Party Services

The site displays data from external providers (NASA, Launch Library 2, Spaceflight News API, arXiv, CelesTrak, NOAA, YouTube, and others). Interacting with embedded content (e.g., YouTube videos) is subject to those providers' own privacy policies.

8. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. Deleting your account removes your personal records from the platform.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
